Maison Roz

Two Suspended Days of Slow Living

What if, for just a couple of days, you completely unplugged to reconnect with what matters most? That is the gentle pause we gifted our minds when the wonderful Maison Roz kindly invited us for a two-night stay, tucked away in South Finistère, between Pont-Aven and the ocean.

Arriving at the house already sets the mood: you wind down a small, secret road through a magical forest before discovering this stunning spot right on the water's edge, offering an incredible view that instantly takes your breath away. It is the ultimate gathering place, perfectly suited for an unforgettable stay with family or a getaway among friends.

Inside, everything invites you to slow down and create. We loved prepping cozy, comforting meals together in the spacious open-plan kitchen, sharing long chats by the fire, and taking relaxing dips in the indoor pool located in the basement.

The surrounding area is just as inspiring. We wandered over to nearby Pont-Aven to grab a delicious traditional crêpe, and spent hours hunting for treasures in wonderful local antique shops and flea markets (brocantes). Back at the house, nestled along the coastal paths and the shifting light of the Aven river that once inspired so many legendary painters, we found the perfect sanctuary to let our creativity flow through sketching and painting.

What makes this place truly magical is its unmistakable atmosphere. The interior design, crafted with exquisite taste by the architectural duo Wunder, effortlessly blends contemporary designer pieces with carefully curated vintage finds, all subtly tied together with a charming nod to Breton heritage.

We left with our batteries fully recharged, our heads swimming with images, and an irresistible urge to keep painting. A precious, confidential address—the kind you almost want to keep as a secret.
