Under the Australian sun, I learned what it means to belong.

but through light falling hard across the bush,
through eucalyptus leaves moving in dry wind,
through tomatoes ripening slowly in my grandmother’s garden.

Home is not only an address.
It is a scent,
a temperature,
a colour that lives in your memory.

It is the women who raised you,
hands deep in soil,
planting without knowing what would grow.

We carry the places that shaped us.
In our gestures.
In our resilience.
In the way we stand.

This is a love letter to that inheritance,
to the landscapes that form us quietly,
to the ground that steadies us,
to the roots that remain,
even when we wander.

This is coming home.
